Two-day weekend classes learning the basics of the copper foil stained glass. On the first day learn the basics with a small wire and jeweled hanging and then make a 6" x 6" panel.
Techniques of cutting, copper foiling and soldering will be taught.
On day two design your own 10" x 10" panel to complete in class.
Class size limited to six students.
INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCE CLASSES
Complex Window Construction: Design your own window with the emphasis on difficult cutting shapes. Learn techniques and use tools to help you acheive a beautiful piece. Design ideas for these windows will be Botanicals, Classical Curlicue or Celtic Knots. Panel size will be up to 2 square feet.
3-D Construction: Learn to make complicated 3-D objects. Cut and assemble glass with special instructions and techniques for soldering complex shapes. Project ideas will range from Greenhouses, Christmas Trees, Lamps or a Bath Suite set.
Lead came Window Construction: Learn the Ancient technique of Lead Caming. Design your simple window and learn the complexities of forming lead around your glass and the finishing techniques for a sound window. Panel size up to 2 square feet.
Fused Glass: Learn the basics of fused and slumped glass. You will learn the basics of glass cutting, glass compability and different COE glass choices, firing schedules and annealing times. We will be making sample tiles, and fused plates using a variety of glass products for your creacive ideas.
ALL CLASSES WILL BE LIMITED TO SIX STUDENTS.
COST FOR BEGINNERS CLASSES IS $295 WITH A DEPOSIT OF $150 TO HOLD YOUR SPOT.
ADVANCE CLASSES ARE $325 WITH A DEPOSIT OF $150 TO HOLD YOUR SPOT.
